It’s a rare treat that you get to see Jim Morrison and The Doors perform in color. Even though they came out and became a hit in the late 1960s most of their concert footage and music videos were done in black and white. Almost like watching music performances from 1955 or something even though color video and footage for both TV and movies was pretty common if not expected by 1968 when this video in Frankfurt Germany came out. But since this video was shot in color, you get to see Jim Morrison and The Doors the best blues rock band I believe of the 1960s playing in color. With Jim Morrison performing in his go to black leather suit and suede cowboy boots. And you get to see parts of downtown Frankfurt, Germany as well. The song Hello I don’t think is that great of song. But it has a great guitar and drums beat to it and with the Lizard King and his great voice and with the timing down can make ordinary lyrics like “hello, I love you”, sound better than they actually are. And then you throw in Morrison’s skin-tight black leather jeans and concho belt that almost made him look like his crotch was sticking out (and that is as graphic as I’ll get) and you had women who simply were in love with him especially when they got to see him perform up close and wanting to touch him. A big reason why you would see women jump up on the stage trying touch and grab him while her performed in the 1960s. So you put all of these things together and you have a pretty good video here.

Jim Morrison aka The Lizard King, is the bad boy and frontman of classic rock and blues rock. I’m not interested in heavy metal and punk rock, where I’m sure you’ll find guys who got into more trouble and perhaps had even bigger addiction problems. Curt Cobain and Axel Rose come to mind damn fast for me. But, the heavy reliance and influence of black leather that you saw at least in the 1980s and 1990s especially with the leather jeans, boots, jackets, came from Jim Morrison. Which just to my point about how big a deal The Lizard King is when it comes to rock and roll and not just classic rock and blues rock where he made his biggest impact. But again heavy metal when you’re talking about wardrobe with the leather jeans, boots and jackets. That Jim Morrison made a staple of his wardrobe in the late 1960s, when almost no one else outside of biker culture was wearing at all.

I don’t know of a frontman that meant more to his band than Jim Morrison. Not to take anything away from Ray Manzarek especially, who was great on the keyboards and also had a great singing voice. And Robby Krieger was an excellent guitarist and John Densmore could play the drums. But The Doors are famous because of Jim Morrison, but Morrison wouldn’t of needed The Doors at least the group that was put together to be famous and successful. How many other rock frontman at least from that generation, had the intelligence, the wit, the writing ability and then throw in the style that The Lizard King had. In an era where frontman looked somewhat preppy except for the long hair and looked like hippies, I mean we are talking about the late 1960s after all, Jim Morrison is wearing a black leather suit. Skin-tight black leather jeans, that would be called skinny leathers today. With a black leather suit jacket, an Indian concho belt and black suede and leather boots.

Jim Morrison not just put leather jeans on the map in rock and roll, but leather period. To the point that Elvis Presley starts wearing a black leather suit in the late 60s and early 70s. John Kay, from Steppenwolf has his own Lizard King outfit. With a leather vest, black leather jeans and an Indian belt. The hard rockers of the 1980s Kiss, Motley Crew, Guns N Roses, as well as heavy metal bands like Skid Row, are all wearing leather jackets and leather jeans. But much more casually than Jim Morrison and wore biker jackets and t-shirts with their leathers. Morrison, again was a rebel and did his own thing and did it so well that he made it so cool and had others following him. To the point that there are countless Doors cover bands and Jim Morrison covers. With the Jim Morrison figure always in his black leather and concho belt and at times with the black leather jacket.

But with The Lizard King, its not just his leather rock and roll fashion. And the fact that perhaps no other man has ever wore a black leather suit better. Or the fact that thousands of women went to Doors concerts to check the man out every night and to see what he would do on the stage next. But it was also his music and the fact that he and The Doors did their own thing and made their own music and to a certain extent sung about the times the 1960s, but did it their own way. Morrison, especially didn’t want to fit in some place, but instead create his own place that was even different from his own band members from again how he carried and presented himself on stage. And then see if others would follow him. The Baby Boom Generation, the 1960s rockers who made it big in that decade, lost three great stars. Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin. But I’m not sure as great as Jimi and Janis would’ve been even combined would’ve they’ve meant more to rock and roll than Jim Morrison. The Lizard King was one in a kind and great at simply being himself as an entertainer. And we haven’t seen anyone as good, or similar since.

I think the Crawling King Snake video from The Doors with Jim Morrison perfectly sums up the style and career of Jim Morrison. The man made leather jeans and rock and roll culture and why it looks the way it does today, at least with hard rockers and headbangers. The Lizard King obviously wasn’t a hard rocker or a headbanger, but he put his signature black snake skin leather jeans on the map and made them cool. To the point by the 1980s they were standard for rockers male and female. And probably a big reason why Melissa Etheridge and Joan Jett got into them and why you saw rock and roll bands like Guns N Roses and Kiss get into them and of course the metal bands like Skid Row and Motley Crew.

And that is what you see in this video. The Lizard King moving so smoothly in his snake skin’s and cowboy boots and the concho belt. He combined rock and roll culture and lifestyle, with Western and American-Indian culture with the leather jeans, cowboy boots and concho belt and the leather jacket as well. He put these looks on the map in rock and roll, because of how often he wore this outfit in public and all the images that have come from those appearances. That were famous then and if anything now more popular forty-five years later. And without the Lizard King, rock and roll probably looks a lot different in the 1970s, 80s, 90s and today.

Leather in general wasn’t very popular in America when it came to wardrobes pre-late 1960s or so, except for perhaps biker and to a certain extent Western culture. So Jim Morrison in his full leather suit and then throw in the cowboys boots and the concho belt, that if anything even highlighted his leather jeans even more, especially in front, he was taking a risk. But he had the style, the look, the moves to make it work to the point that he became a rock and roll and perhaps even style icon in America and not just in rock and roll. And all of this is part of legacy that is still alive and well today.

Before I make Jim Morrison look real bad here I’ll say that this was one of The Doors best performances ever even as short as it was. The Lizard King (and I say that for a reason) was at the top of his game with the vocals and everyone played very well. But if you watch the video (and you are not blind) you see something real obvious and may get to thinking “what the hell”. (or something stronger than that) Because you see Morrison in his classic black leather suit. Nothing strange there from him, but with a big fact erection sticking out of his leather jeans. I don’t know how you go out on stage with that sticking out and that is assuming you are sober. And perhaps The Lizard King wasn’t and this was one of the reasons why he was The Lizard King. Because he was so out there and not just wore the black leather jeans at most of his performances. But his leathers were so skin-tight and revealing that anything that got him excited sexually was going to be seen by a lot of people and this case being on Sullivan by millions of people. And it happened to him in one of the most public places possible on Ed Sullivan on national TV on Sunday night in 1967.

Good reason not to wear skin-tight leather jeans on national TV when you aren’t sober. As Jim Morrison did on a regular basis for visual effect and he wanted especially women checking him out. But the risk is you end up showing more of yourself than you perhaps intended. Especially when you get excited and you are right there for the whole world to see. Unless no one actually saw The Lizard King go out on stage right before he went out and especially saw him up front and perhaps noticed something about his pants that his, well his thing lets saw was sticking out and he had a boner sticking out of his leather jeans. Or Morrison got excited as he was already on stage and perhaps saw a sexy women or something. For the life of me I can’t figure why someone didn’t walk up to Morrison and say, “uh Jim, you should go to the bathroom or back to the dressing room before you go out on national TV. Because you have a boner sticking out of your pants that everyone is going to see on national TV.”

Every time you see a good-looking sexy man in leather jeans especially skin-tight or skinny leather jeans and you’re a straight women or a gay man, you should thank Jim Morrison from The Doors. Had he been more disciplined and not an alcoholic, plus an illegal drugs addict, he would have lived through the 1970s most likely. With his patent black leather suit. With the leather jacket, skin-tight leather jeans and cowboy boots. As that look was just becoming mainstream in rock in roll culture. To the point by the late 1970s and through the 1980s, it was pretty common in rock culture. especially in heavy metal. The Lizard King, dressed up his leather jeans. And instead of wearing a tank top o t-shit, he generally wore his leathers with a buttondown-shirt and western belt. With stylish boots.

Again by the late 1970s and through the 1980s, leather jeans had become fairly common in pop culture. Especially rock and roll culture, but they were no longer just pants for bikers. You saw rockers in them like Jon Bon Jovi and headbangers like Alice Cooper. Actors and actress’s, were wearing them in movies. Like Joan Jett, whose sort of the female version of Jim Morrison. Whose made black leather jeans her staple pants, but who tends to wear them like a biker chick o rocker chick and wears them a lot less casually. Than The Lizard King who would dress his leathers formally like a guy would wear a cotton business suit. Instead of a cowboy lets say who would wear a denim suit. Or a biker who would wear a biker jacket with their leather jeans. But it was Morrison who made leather jeans fashionable and sexy in America.

Leather jeans, are probably more common with gay men, than straight men and you’ll probably more likely to see women wear them than straight men. Outside of rocker and biker culture. Because they’re pretty risky and make skinny jeans almost look safe, because of how revealing in them. Fat people look obese in leather jeans and skinny people look like they’re starving in them. You have to have the perfect body fo them. Strong legs, tight round butt, the confidence to not mind people noticing your crotch and butt in them. Because those things along with your legs, because these pants hug them very tightly, become very noticeable in any skinny pant. Especially in leather jeans. And what Jim Morrison and plenty of people after him all had in common, is the right bodies for those pants.

Didn’t get to see the face of Terrie Hawkes, whoever she is and if I’m ignorant about that, I apologize, but we didn’t get to see her face until the end of this video. But the quick look of her, she looks like a gorgeous blonde and of course with a great body. Tall and well-built, with the perfect outfit to highlight those features. The skin-tight leather jeans in boots and with a great walk to show people who she looks and sexy she is. And I just love women who know they are sexy and proud that others see that as well. I just would’ve made this video at least two-minutes longer with the same women and the same outfit and gotten to see more of her face and you would’ve gotten a very good look at her face and body in the same shots in that great outfit. The tight leather jeans in boots that she pulls off perfectly and about as well as it can be done. I just wish she did it longer and this would’ve been a great sexy, but tasteful video of a gorgeous sexy women in a very stylish outfit and not looking like a porn star.

Skinny jeans with boots, whether they’re skinny denims or skinny leathers and of course skinny denim jeans are more popular than leathers, but you’re talking about a classic combination. That really goes back to the late 1970s as far as mainstream pop culture in America. When the country moved away from bell bottoms and flair hippie jeans. (As I call them). Jean pants that are very baggie and even looser than what are called trouser jeans today. Pants that were designed to look stylish and somewhat rock and roll and Hollywood, but did nothing to show a woman’s legs or butt. We went from this look of the early and mid 1970s, to the designer jeans wave of the late 1970s. Where all the new denims were designed to show a women’s legs and butt. Where most of them were dark wash and where you have fancy leather designer tags on the jeans. From labels like Calvin Klein, Lee, Gloria Vanderbilt, Levis even. All these designer jeans that were huge and all over TV in the late 1970s and through the 1980s, all came about starting in 1978 and 79.

Before the designer jean revolution of the late 1970s, tight denim jeans, what are called skinny jeans, were only popular in Western and biker culture and a certain extent rock and roll culture. At least for women, because women back then didn’t feel the freedom to highlight their legs and butts. Even in a stylish way where they would wear a nice blouse and sport jacket and western boots with their jeans. Before 1978 women were supposed to look somewhat conservative at least in the sense they weren’t supposed to show their legs and butts, at least with pants. Short skirts, were considered somewhat acceptable, just not tight pants and certainly not tight jeans. That all changed in the late 1970s with shows like Threes Company, Dukes of Hazard, Taxi and few others. Where you saw beautiful sexy women on a regular basis sporting tight designer jeans and wore them with boots regularly and wore jeans in boots. And America if anything has just gotten more liberal with our wardrobe and jeans wardrobe for both men and women ever since.

We’ve gone to the designer jean revolution for women of the late 1970s and into the early and mid 1980s, to the horribly failed experiment of the acid wash jeans wave of the late 1980s. Back to Levis era of the early and mid 1990s, to another designer jeans revolution of the late 1990s. That we’ve never moved away from. Wear the jeans weren’t new as far as design, because they were based on the jeans from the late 1970s and early 80s. To the jeans in boots look from the mid 2000s that I again were still in. Where beautiful sexy women not just want to show their legs and look stylish doing it and not like strippers or prostitutes, but are expected to wear skinny jeans and wear the right skinny denims for their legs and wear them with boots. Western boots, riding boots, biker boots. There plenty of stylish sexy boots for women to wear with their jeans without looking like hookers. And this has been a great style era for women, but also for men. Because we get to check them out.

There are times that I certainly write pieces for the pure pleasure of it. And in this case this would be something that would make me feel good and a lot of other guys would feel good, but if someone from the Christian-Right, Moral Majority and that club ever saw it, they would try to send me to hell. That hell would probably be a prison, because that is the closest that they could get to. But when you post a video of a sexy women in all black, including skin-tight black leather jeans that Jim Morrison The Lizard King would be proud of and she’s showing her asset, you’re not speaking to a church, or a so-called family values group.

I’m not a fan of what is called hard-core porn. And for me that is basically very sexy naked women, or women who only cover up their boobs and lets say mid-section, leaving their legs and chess bare. But I do like sexy women in tight outfits. Especially women in tight jeans and boots. Love leather jeans models, like you see in this video. Love cowgirls, biker women and athletically built women entertainers and women I just see on the street. You don’t have to be pornographic to look sexy. You can look sexy and even where tight outfits. Including with skinny denim and leather with boots and other pants and skirts and look sexy, but not have to look like you work at a sex shop.

Sexy women to me, are stylish women. A porno star, would probably get my attention and I’m sure I would check her out. But a sexy stylish women with a nice body who knows how to show her body without being practically naked will be in my memory. And I’ll be thinking about her and want to get to know her, because a women like that probably has more going on for her than just her body. But a women who feels the need to be half-naked on a regular basis, or does that to make a living, probably doesn’t have much else going on for her.

A short but sweet video I guess. I like the women, but it would’ve been nice to of gotten a better look at her face. And even more so I liked her outfit. She basically looked like a rocker or biker chick with the leather jacket and leather jeans. Which is a fairly common look for both rocker and biker chicks, especially biker chicks because leather and leather jeans are so practical with what they do and riding their bikes. Because the leather jeans protect their legs especially from hot bikes. And they look real good on biker chicks on bikes and they are a great way for sexy women to show off their bodies especially their legs and butts. So this women wearing a sexy outfit, but this video was just too short for me and would’ve liked to of seen at least a two-minute video of this women in this outfit.
