I don’t watch a lot of Lifetime movies and generally when I see one at all, it’s because I’m flipping around on the tube ( generally late at night ) looking for something to watch. And from time to time I see a movie on Lifetime that at the very least looks interesting, because even though it’s a cable network that’s based for women, ( not that there’s anything wrong from that ) they do a lot of mystery movies and even action/drama type programing and movies and you see people there that perhaps you’ve seen in other places and networks or movies, or you see people there that just aren’t very well-known if at all. Who perhaps come from the theater, independent films, or perhaps come down from Canada and are well-known there or not at all, but someone discovers them there or in America and decides they would be right for their Lifetime TV movie.

Actress Dina Meyer, sort of fits both roles as someone who has done several Lifetime films, who has been seen in other movies working for other film companies, been seen on TV and even in big Hollywood movies, but isn’t well-known in the sense where everyone who watches a lot of movies and TV has not only heard of her, but knows exactly who she is and what her background is. If The Boy Next Door has a star at all, it would be Dina Meyer who isn’t just the star of this movie, but is the only star in the movie. Perhaps the one actress or actor that someone who watches TV and movies on a regular basis that people have heard of and seen before. Not a knock on Dina or the rest of the cast, because this movie is actually pretty good and not just Dina but the cast in general. But this is a Lifetime movie and unless you’re Lifetime junkie The Boy Next Door from 2008, is probably not a movie that you think about or have ever heard of.

Dina Meyer, plays Sara ( last name apparently unknown ) who is a mystery writer who moves to a small town to finish her latest book and is dealing with writers book. Who meets a young man perhaps in his early 20s if that who lives next door to her at her new house. She sort of falls in love with Michael ( played by Christopher Russell and become obsessed with him to the point that she’s taking pictures of him everyday when he’s out in the yard. What seems like a very friendly and charming small town where the locals even seem welcoming of new residents, becomes very cold at least towards Sara when Michael turns up dead and it looks like he was murdered. And Sara becomes the local sheriff’s office prime suspect and everyone in the town now views Sara as the prime suspect in the murder case as well.

Source:SJ Klein– Christopher Russell and Dina Meyer

Sara, goes from being a well-known and successful mystery writer to an amateur snoop who is working on her own case to find out who actually murdered Michael. And I believe she plays the amateur PI role very well, but it’s not that believable I believe that someone with no law enforcement or investigative experience now all the sudden become a very good private investigator. The Boy Next Door has a real Hallmark Mystery or Hart To Hart mystery feel to it where amateur snoops, become the star investigators in the case and not only that, but they become the people who actually catch the killers and bring them to justice. But Dina Meyer does an excellent job of playing that role.

From History

To be completely honest with you for a minute, ( and after that anything can happen ) I only watch American Pickers because of Danielle Colby Cushman. I’m a big fan of history and I’m very interested in it and read a lot about it and watch a lot of docs about it, I’m just not a collector when it comes to history other than DVD’s and books.

The show is fairly entertaining and to see how hard these people in Iowa work and how far they travel to keep their business going. Both Mike and Frank bring a lot of knowledge, hard work, and humor to their jobs. And I kind of like Frank Fritz reminds me a lot of the TV PI Frank Cannon from back in the 70s both in personality and appearance. And Mike Wolfe, reminds me a lot of the former NFL head coach Mike Shananhan physically. But Danielle, is the main event and main reason for me to watch this show, I just wish she had a bigger role and more airtime.

Danielle C. Cushman, ( or perhaps Danielle Colby at this point ) is so cute, so sexy, pretty funny, and just a pleasure to check out on the show. Every time Mike or Frank bring her on one of their trips to actually work with them, the guys they visit in order to buy historical items the men they encounter and are doing business with automatically like her and want to be around her. I believe just her presence alone brings in action and money for their business. And it’s just not just her physical appearance and personality that people like about her on the show, she also knows what she’s talking about and isn’t some bimbo along for the ride like you might see on a game show or talk show. She’s a professional collector as well which is why Mike and Frank hired her.

Not that History Channel and American Pickers listens to me anyway, but if they want me to watch this show more and perhaps guys who aren’t let’s say junkies ( pun intended ) when it comes to historical collections to watch their show more, give Danielle Colby a bigger role on the show. Instead of just getting a few minutes each week or however often the show is seeing her at the office answering the phone and then calling Mike and Frank in their truck on the road to tell them about a new potential customer for them. Put her on the road more and let’s see her doing some actual collecting herself.

I’m glad that Elizabeth Shue, is on CSI Las Vegas now and has been for the last eight seasons now, but they lost a lot when both William Peterson left during the 2009 season and when Marg Helgenberger left three years later. It’s still a great show and I would hate to see either Elizabeth Shue or Ted Danson leave at this point, but it would nice to see all four together. Maybe Bill Peterson, gets appointed as Chief of Police or something and Marg gets his old job as the director of the crime lab. Liz Shue, comes in as her deputy. Maybe Ten Danson comes in as a big shot Las Vegas District Attorney and not just one of the prosecutors in that office, but the actual DA.

Losing Bill Peterson and Marg and bringing in Ted Danson and Liz Shue, is like treading two great basketball players for two other great basketball players, where neither team gets nay additional value. It’s like trading one great center for another great center. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, for Moses Malone, ( for any of you old school NBA fans that might still be alive today, or at least willing to admit that there was an NBA before 2000 ) if anything losing Marg Helgenberger on that show is a real loss, regardless of who you replace her with. Great to see Liz Shue on Las Vegas, I just think the show would be better with her as an addition, instead of replacing one great lead actress with another.

Source:WENY– The original cast of CSI Las Vegas

The Catherine Willows character had this sort of shy and quiet disposition and yet she could be pretty witty and was was always tough and as Ted Danson said about her, “you knew she was a leader from her presence alone.” The Fin character, ( played by Elizabeth Shue ) is a very open, witty , always has a smile on her face character, who like Catherine ( played by Marg Helgenberger ) is very dedicated, very smart, and is generally much tougher than her adorable disposition lets on. Liz Shue, is the perfect action/comedic or dramatic/comedy actress where she always finds herself in very serious situations, but always finds the lighter side in them. As Marg said in this video, she’s leaving the show, but it’s possible that she’ll be back doing guess appearances. And this video was done back in early 2012 when she left CSI Las Vegas and has already been back on the show. It would just be nice if she came back permanently in a new role like Chief of Police or something.

USA Network: In Plain Sight- Something About Mary McCormack

65480
Source:In Plain Sight Wiki– A lot of something about Mary McCormack

Source:The Action Blog

“Sundays, 10/9c beginning June 1st. In Plain Sight is an hour-long drama that revolves around Mary Shannon (Mary McCormack), a tough, sexy US Marshal who works for the Federal Witness Protection Program. While many of the witnesses under her care are high-maintenance career criminals, some are just innocent people who had the misfortune of witnessing a crime or falling victim to one.”

From USA Network

Mary McCormack
Source:USA Network– There’s something about Mary McCormack.

Did In Plain Sight make actress Mary McCormack a star? I personally knew about her from watching her on ABC’s Murder One from back in 1995-96 where she played one of the lawyers at the firm there. And liked her back then both physically, but as an actress as well. And then about ten years later where she played the National Security Advisor on NBC’s The West Wing. The West Wing, goes off the air in 2006 and she gets In Plain Sight from USA a couple years later. She’s been around for a while and has been very successful for a while, but perhaps In Plain Sight made her a household name.

26612
Source:IMDB– Mary McCormack, as U.S. Marshal Mary Shannon

What In Plain Sight did for ( there’s a lot of something about ) Mary McCormack, is not just make her the star of that hit show from USA, but the main reason if not only reason to watch that show. She plays U.S. Deputy Marshal Mary McCormack, who is a badass Federal law enforcement officer who has a no bullshit ( to be frank ) attitude and doesn’t take anything from anyone, including her family. Who operates in a world where everyone around her is dependent on her and wants something from her.

Her no bullshit attitude operates in a world of bullshitters where both her mother and adult sister not just live with her, but are dependent on Mary for their economic survival. And she feels used and perhaps abused even by her own family and then she’s hard-ass U.S. Marshal who works for the U.S. Witness Protection Bureau and deals with professional bullshit artists for a living which just compounds all of her issues for her. And operates in a world where the only people she really trusts are the people she works with including her partner and supervisor.

Similar to Mariska Hargitay from Law & Order SVU who also plays a badass female cop, as tough as attitude and first impression is, she’s just too cute, beautiful, and feminine to completely fool people with her attitude. Mary McCormack, as well as her character U.S. Marshal Mary Shannon, is a tall, gorgeous, sexy, very cute sexy blonde who wears tight outfits on her show a lot and unless you’re gay or something, perhaps blind as well it would be very hard if not impossible to at least notice her, if not be attracted to her. On the outside she’s a very feminine and attractive woman, but with the attitude of an Army Drill Sergeant, where you would have to be a complete idiot to want to mess with her. And plays this role perfectly and makes a good show very entertaining all by herself.

A&E: Rodeo Girls- A Cowgirl Reality Show

Maybe I should say reality show in quotes since what’s called reality TV is not very real at all. We all know now that the cast members are encouraged to act a certain and act out. Instead of a film crew following people around to see what they’re really like in real-life. But for what’s called reality TV in Hollywood and New York, Rodeo Girls would qualify as reality TV that’s about cowgirl and professional female rodeo cowgirls and watching them compete around the country and what life is like for them and they’re not competing.

69643
Source:TDS– A&E’s Rodeo Girls

Rodeo Girls for me, is like a soap opera but perhaps without a script. I’m sure the cast members are encouraged to act a certain and to even act out, but they’re not told what to say. In a TV soap opera that has writers and actors, etc each cast members are given a script and told what to say. Rodeo Girls, is like a soap opera, but without a script. It has all the tension and competitiveness, backstabbing that would see on General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, The Young and The Restless, whatever soap you want to use as an example, but the show is unscripted. But the cast is strategically picked out to create tension and entertainment on the show. To put people in place who perhaps don’t even respect each other, let alone like each other and they’re not only competing with each other, but have to interact with each other on the show.

The real drama on this show is between Darcy Lapier ( perhaps the best looking cowgirl in the world, fake or otherwise ) and the rest of the cowgirls the show. Darcy Lapier, is essentially know for being a one-time actress who I guess never got her acting career going in the 1980s, but was able to get involved with some high profiled men in Hollywood and in business. She was married briefly to Jean Van-Damme, businessmen Ron Rice and Mark Hughes, She’s essentially made her career and living by marrying up and being married to successful men and then being able to live off of them while married and then divorced. Gold digger, would probably be an accurate way to describe Darcy Lapier. A very beautiful, hot even, very sexy, very adorable woman, but who has never had much of a career of her own.

And that is where the tension is between Darcy and the other rodeo girls on the show like Barb West who are real rodeo and cowgirls in real-life, who are professionals, who don’t have their ex-husbands alimony or some trust fund to live off of and have to do well in this business in order to support themselves. They don’t see Darcy as one of them or even as a real cowgirl and Darcy is a bit of a verbal punching bag for them and she sees herself as better than them, because she’s not a working stiff and lives the life of a reality TV, Hollywood celebrity traveling around in limos and and her own jet. Who has now decided that she wants a career for herself and is struggling to make it as a professional cowgirl.

In The Middle of The Sun: VH1 Legends- Jim Morrison and The Doors: The Lizard King

“Here’s a very rare documentary without the annoying subtitles, narrated by Henry Rollins. I recorded it on VHS back in something like 1997, then recorded it onto a recordable DVD-R. The tape it was oiginally on stopped working right after I burned it to DVD. Enjoy it. I know I did.”

From In The Middle of The Sun

The Lizard King, ( which he’ll always be known as, at least with me ) Jim Morrison’s birthday was last Saturday, but he’s The Lizard King so he gets a 4 day birthday celebration from me at least. He would’ve been 75 today had he not died at the age of 27 in 1971 and without his alcoholism and other drug abuse and had he lived a natural life in years he would not only probably still be alive today, but probably still performing. The Rolling Stones, same generation as The Doors are still playing. Aerosmith, same generation as The Doors and in their 70s still playing. Bruce Springsteen, same generation as well, late 60s if not already 70 is still playing. So losing Jim Morrison at 27 was a huge tragedy that still affects his fans and the broader rock industry today.

15840
Source:John Dewey Stewart– The Lizard King Jim Morrison and Robby Krieger, Live at The Roadhouse in London, England in 1968

You would have to be familiar with not just the NFL, but NFL history ( meaning you’re not a Millennial, LOL ) to understand this reference, but Jim Morrison had a Gayle Sayers affect on the rock industry. He was there for such a short period of time, really only 3-4 years as an active performer before he went to Paris for good in 1970 and never came back and died in 1971. Whether he gave himself the nickname The Lizard King or someone else gave him that nickname stuck, he was The Lizard King. He moved like a lizard and you could argue even dressed like one with his snakeskin skin-tight black leather suit, cowboy boots, and concho belt. He also patent skin-tight brown leather jeans which might be more popular than is black leathers, but he didn’t wear as often.

23452
Source:Ceoniric– The Lizard King Jim Morrison

The way Jim Morrison moved and how he dressed when he moved, the way he danced, crashed to the stage he really put on a show all by himself every time he performed on stage and some could argue a sex show performing in his skin-tight leather suit almost every time he was on stage. Leather jeans especially black leathers, are popular in rock & roll today and have been really since the late 1970s and early 80s, because of The Lizard King Jim Morrison. His impact on rock & roll including blues rock, is not just because of his music and writing, but rock & roll fashion. He was the rock & roll leather cowboy whose impact on rock & roll was huge 50 years ago and still felt today and he will always be missed especially with the internet being as big as it is and people always having the ability to research Morrison and check him out.

Law & Order SVU: Kelli Kiddish: As NYPD Detective Amanda Rollins

Source:The Action Blog

From Wikipedia

“It was announced on June 27, 2011 that Giddish would join the cast of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for its thirteenth season along with Cold Case’s Danny Pino coinciding with Christopher Meloni’s departure from the series.[7] Giddish told TV Guide during summer filming; “Everybody on the set is really excited and energized. They’ve lost a family member with Chris Meloni leaving, but they’ve been very accepting of us. Amanda is thrilled to be here working with these people, and so am I.”[8]

Giddish made her debut as Detective Amanda Rollins in the 13th-season premiere, “Scorched Earth”, in which the character first works alongside Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay). In an interview with TV Guide, Giddish said about her character, “My character is in complete awe of Olivia, Amanda’s really eager to get in there because she knows her stuff and really eager to learn. She has come from Atlanta and there was a ceiling there, so she’s come up to New York.”

From  Mike Lenskikh

“Actress Kelli Giddish on the set of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”

Law & Order - SVU
Source: Mike Lenskikh– Actress Kelli Giddish, on the set of Law & Order SVU.

From first appearance at least, Kelli Giddish looks like she would be one of the last people playing a hard-nosed ( to use a term from the 1950s ) big city police detective who is dedicated to her job as a police detective and always wants to get the bad guy or girl and protect the innocent. Especially people who prey on the innocent. Law & Order SVU, is a drama about NYPD detectives who handle sexual assault cases. Everything from child abuse rape and everything in between or even worst than those cases. So this NYPD unit deals with rapists, as well as people who sexually abuse innocent people, as well as murder them. They deal with some of the worst criminals you can possibly imagine, as well as some people who are mentally unhealthy, who commit horrible crimes.

Source:Action– Kelli Giddish, as NYPD-SVU Detective Amanda Rollins.

I say Kelli Giddish and the character that she plays ( NYPD Detective Amanda Rollins ) because physically she comes off as so adorable and sweet and simply as someone who is not tough enough to deal with these cases. On the surface at least, Kelli Giddish looks like someone who would be better suited playing a heiress, or someone who works for a fashion magazine, model, perhaps one of those people who are simply famous for being famous like a heiress who spends most of their time spending away the trust fund that their rich father gave them, as well as getting into trouble. But that just goes to show you how terrific an actress that Kelli Giddish is who is someone who has such an adorable the American sweetheart next door demeanor and yet she plays a very tough NYC cop, who not only takes on the bad guys and girls, but who also kicks a lot of ass on the show.

Law & Order SVU, is a modern cop show about detectives who do a lot of leg work, as well as undercover work and are always on the move and not just investigating bad people, but taking them down. And taking down people to arrest them who don’t want to be caught. So you see physical altercations on this show on a regular basis and because of this you see beautiful, sexy women like Kelli and Mariska Hargitay ( who plays Detective Lieutenant Olivia Benson ) on the show looking beautiful and very sexy, dressing pretty casually. A lot of skin-tight jeans, boots, tight tops. A lot of times on the show Kelli looks like a Western cowgirl cop wearing a Western jacket with her skin-tight jeans and cowgirl boots. Instead of wearing a suit jacket or leather jacket that would be more common with big city cops in America.

The modern TV cop show now has a lot of women playing the top cops on the show and doing a lot of the dangerous work as detectives, sergeants, or lieutenants. Whether it’s Elisabeth Shue and Jorga Fox on CSI Las Vegas, Mariska Hargitay and Kelli Giddish on Law & Order SVU. Which is why you not only see very attractive women on shows like this today, when 20 years ago they would be working in offices and even managing companies, but not doing physical dangerous work like working as vice detectives that they do today and doing other law enforcement jobs. Kelli Giddish, is the perfect example of what the modern TV cop looks like today. Beautiful, sexy, and even adorable on the outside at least, but very tough physically and personally and not someone you want to mess with.

Millions of dollars are lost by farmers and ranchers from the devastating chaos caused by these wild boars which has prompted the state of Texas to allow and sanction the practice of elimination without limits of the wild pigs.[5] The goal is not eradication, which few believe possible, but control. As age and dwindling mobility continue to hit Jerry Campbell, Jerry attempts to slowly transition his children to taking over his role of company head.”

I got into American Hoggers myself accidentally I guess in the spring of 2013 when I was home on a Sunday and flipping around on the tube. And I saw these two very young, beautiful, and very cute women ( Krystal Campbell and Lea Penick ) doing what I guess would be traditionally male oriented work ( at least straight male ) not just working on a ranch, but doing the actual hunting themselves. Which is what they do for a living hunting feral hogs that represent a real threat to the farm and ranch land in Central Texas and got into this show very quickly because of these two women and what they do on this show and then Katie Ball comes on who is hired by Krystal’s father ( Jerry Campbell ) to be another hunter for him and his ranch. Who is even cuter than Krystal and Lea.

As far as this particular show, I’m not a hunter at all not even an amateur hunter and certainly can’t speak as an expert to what they were doing here, but I think the ladies have a point here. Shooting hogs with no warning while they’re people around and not knowing exactly who you’re shooting at, looks to me at least like trying to land a 747 blindfolded with your eyes close during a Chicago blizzard. I understand all about self-survival and it’s either the hog or me, the hog is going down, but firing into bushes like that and now knowing if they’re actual humans there, is literally shooting in the dark and hoping for the best. I could just imagine Tom’s excuse here if he had shot Krystal or Lea by accident and it might sound something like this, “hey, I was shooting at the hog, not you. At least I didn’t get hurt.” You can easily see why the ladies would be angry here.

“When Dukes OF Hazzard was at the height of its’ popularity, Catherine Bach who played Daisy Duke had her legs insured for one million dollars. Watch this video and see why.
Before any one complains. Yes, I know some of the scenes have been reversed, mirror image style.”

From Jas Bains

When I was growing up in the 1980s especially in the early 80s when I was just starting to watch TV and had favorite shows and everything else, The Dukes of Hazzard quickly became one of my favorite shows. I loved the General Lee and cars in general on that show. I even thought the cop cars were cool and the cars that the bad guys and gals drove were cool. I still believe Boss Hogg and Sheriff Rosco Coltrane are one of the best comedy duos in the history of Hollywood and perhaps everywhere else. Sorrel Booke and and James Best, the way they played off each other was perfect, because they just had great chemistry together. I mean when your’e talking about both comedy and action-comedy The Dukes of Hazard is for TV what Smokey and the Bandit is for movies, one of the best if not best action/comedies of all-time, as well as pure comedies of all-time.

Even if John Schneider and Tom Wopat are never remembered for anything other than The Dukes of Hazzard and playing Bo and Luke Duke, similar to how Lynda Carter will always be remembered as Wonder Woman, they were so great together on this show that of course it’s the role of their lifetimes, but that role was so great that they can’t top it because of how great they were with those characters and how great they were together they don’t need a bigger and better role, because they were the best at least at this genre and have no need and perhaps don’t want to top Bo and Luke Duke. Watching this show every Friday night when I was 7-9 years old ( from what I remember about it ) was something I look forward to every week and a show I never missed even when John Schneider and Tom Wopat left for one reason in 1983 or 84 and were temporarily replaced.

But there was one other character played by a certain actress that was so memorable and brought me to that show every week just to see that face, body, and to see what she was wearing, to hear that voice and to see her do something that was hot, sexy, and adorable every week. I know we’re not supposed to have sexual feelings until we’re in junior high at least in our early teens when we hit puberty, but I swear I had a crush on Catherine Back before I was even 10 years old.

I watched that show every week just to check her out. Loved the cars, the car chases, all the comedy and characters in that movie and The Dukes of Hazard was a better show than Wonder Woman and Catherine did have better material and people to work with than Lynda Carter, but the reasons why people watched Wonder Woman every week to see Lynda Carter and to see her kick ass, are the same reasons why people ( especially guys ) watched The Dukes of Hazard every where to watch Catherine Bach who played Daisy Duke.

Catherine is still so hot, so sexy, so adorable, great personality, wit, etc. Similar to how Michael Jordan put fans in the seats at Chicago Bulls games regardless of who the Bulls were playing, Catherine Bach had guys home on Friday nights even if they were married or had a serious girlfriends to check her out on The Dukes. And she deserves a lot of credit for that.

Sometimes when I think of actress as well as very sharp comedian Jennifer Aniston, one of the best comedic actresses of her generation at least, I think of an adorable little girl. She was a baby face sweetheart when she got her big break with the NBC sitcom Friends back in 1994 and 24 years later she still is. Baby faces don’t age, they just preserve or get cuter and Jennifer is a perfect example of that. She’s more than a baby cutie and gorgeous as well, very funny, and a terrific actress, but one thing that might be quite as well known as J.A. is her sex appeal. She’s just not just a little cutie and hasn’t been just a little cutie for a while and perhaps ever, she also has great sex appeal.

The reason why skin-tight or skinny denim jeans are so popular with American women, but women outside of America as well, especially with beautiful, sexy women is because of beautiful, sexy, famous, popular women like Jennifer Aniston, Megyn Fox, Sofia Vergara, or Katherine Heigl, just to name a few examples love denim especially skin-tight denim and love boots as well and love wearing those two things together either when they’re acting and on their shows or movies or just out in public running errands, going out to each and just being out publicly. Skinny jeans and boots are popular in America and outside of America because they’re popular with female celebrities like Jennifer Anniston and many other women.

Jennifer Anniston, is a baby cutie who can still come off as a little girl or a kid even in her late 40s, but she’s also gorgeous and has a beautiful body as well and is also one of the top denim divas at least of this era. And people ( especially guys ) love seeing her in skin-tight jeans and from my perspective love seeing her in skin-tight jeans and boots. Denim jeans especially skin-tight denim jeans are meant for women with curve appeal, women with beautiful legs who are proud of their figures and don’t starve themselves or eat themselves into a oblivion.
