I’m glad that Elizabeth Shue, is on CSI Las Vegas now and has been for the last eight seasons now, but they lost a lot when both William Peterson left during the 2009 season and when Marg Helgenberger left three years later. It’s still a great show and I would hate to see either Elizabeth Shue or Ted Danson leave at this point, but it would nice to see all four together. Maybe Bill Peterson, gets appointed as Chief of Police or something and Marg gets his old job as the director of the crime lab. Liz Shue, comes in as her deputy. Maybe Ten Danson comes in as a big shot Las Vegas District Attorney and not just one of the prosecutors in that office, but the actual DA.

Losing Bill Peterson and Marg and bringing in Ted Danson and Liz Shue, is like treading two great basketball players for two other great basketball players, where neither team gets nay additional value. It’s like trading one great center for another great center. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, for Moses Malone, ( for any of you old school NBA fans that might still be alive today, or at least willing to admit that there was an NBA before 2000 ) if anything losing Marg Helgenberger on that show is a real loss, regardless of who you replace her with. Great to see Liz Shue on Las Vegas, I just think the show would be better with her as an addition, instead of replacing one great lead actress with another.

The Catherine Willows character had this sort of shy and quiet disposition and yet she could be pretty witty and was was always tough and as Ted Danson said about her, “you knew she was a leader from her presence alone.” The Fin character, ( played by Elizabeth Shue ) is a very open, witty , always has a smile on her face character, who like Catherine ( played by Marg Helgenberger ) is very dedicated, very smart, and is generally much tougher than her adorable disposition lets on. Liz Shue, is the perfect action/comedic or dramatic/comedy actress where she always finds herself in very serious situations, but always finds the lighter side in them. As Marg said in this video, she’s leaving the show, but it’s possible that she’ll be back doing guess appearances. And this video was done back in early 2012 when she left CSI Las Vegas and has already been back on the show. It would just be nice if she came back permanently in a new role like Chief of Police or something.

Source:FOX Network– From Season 3 Christmas episode, of 90210.

There were only a handful of shows I that watched religiously ( not including sports ) growing up especially once I started high school in the 1990s. Dukes of Hazzard, in the 1980s, The Fall Guy in the 1980s, Knight Rider, A-Team, Married With Children, and then when I was in high school in the early and mid 1990s shows like the original Law & Order. And when I mean religiously, I’m talking about every week including the reruns in the summer. There was really only one show that I watched that much during the summer when I was in high school and that the original Beverly Hills 90210 from Fox. Because it was about Generation X and what life was like growing up for a lot of us, it was a funny show like great soap operas are and all the beautiful, sexy women on it including one and particular.

I loved the Brenda Walsh character ( played by Shannen Doherty ) for multiple reasons. She was so real for both good and bad and seemed to always know what she want, except when it came to guys, she just didn’t always know how to get there and how to get what she wanted. Which is typical for teenagers of any generation and perhaps Generation X in particular. When we’re growing up we think we know what we want, but a lot of times don’t know how to get it and most teenagers have short attention spans and something else comes along and we’re impressed by that. I wanted to be a sportscaster when I was in high school up until my early 20s or so and realized that perhaps was no longer that important to me and didn’t want to get a degree in broadcasting in order to become a sportscaster. Brenda Walsh was similar, but I think she knew what she wanted, but didn’t know how to get it.

Source:People Magazine– Shannen Doherty, on People in 1992

The Walsh Family, moves from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Beverly Hills, California ( just outside of Los Angeles ) and get a cultural shock right away because they comes from a mid-size community in Minneapolis to not just the second largest city and metro area in the country in Los Angeles, but to the heart of Hollywood and the entertainment industry in this country at least if not the world. Brenda, ( played by Shannen Doherty ) quickly adjusts to that new lifestyle and meets people and friends who are just as real as she is and don’t fit the stereotypes that a lot of Hollywood teenagers have and they discover that they have a lot in common.

This show worked real well, because you had real people living in a fictional community ( known as Hollywood ) where most of the people there are allways trying to be someone else and put on a facade. A lot of the characters on that show could’ve easily been from St. Louis, Milwaukee, Cleveland, or Minneapolis as far as who they were and they went through as teenagers growing up. And that is why the Brenda character was so great because she was a real person growing up in a Hollywood community where realness can be looked down upon by people who want to always be fabulous, perfect, and be popular. People who want to be better than real people and never seem vulnerable to anyone or anything.

The other reason why I loved this show was because of Shannen Doherty. I had a crush on her, I don’t think she was the prettiest girl from the entire series. Jennie Garth was more beautiful during the high school years and I believe Tiffany Thiessen was the best looking woman on the show for the entire series. But Shannen, was the cutest girl on the show and sexiest girl as well at least during the high school years. She wasn’t just a denim diva on that show, ( before that term was even invented ) but she was a Levi’s denim diva who was a Goddess in those skin-tight Levi’s jeans and always wore beautiful western boots with them with tight tops or blouses. I couldn’t wait to watch the show especially just to check her out especially during the first 3 seasons. This show and Shannen Doherty, certainly made high school more interesting for me and I have her to thank for that.

Intent To Kill
Source:Leather Series & Movie Trailers– Traci Lords, as an undercover LAPD Detective in Intent To Kill.

Today shows and movies featuring gorgeous, sexy big city police detectives and other law enforcement officers are very common. Just look at Law & Order SVU, CSI Las Vegas, The Mentalist, movies like One For The Money where Catherine Heigl plays a New Jersey bounty hunter and I could go on. But in the early 1990s, actresses even gorgeous and sexy actresses, even very good if not great actresses were playing the wives or girlfriends of big police detectives, or playing the victims. Perhaps they would play a rookie patrol officer or desk officer, but generally not involved in doing the legwork and dirty work of what vice cops do to bring down criminals and put themselves in serious physical danger.

Source:PM Stunt Fan– Traci Lords, about to kick ass

Whatever you think of Intent To Kill and I’m one of the first people to say that it’s not a great movie, even though I like it and have seen it several times, Intent To Kill was ahead of it’s time in a positive way, because it had a female police detective who ends up bringing down the bad guys ( to use a cliche ) almost by herself. Her partner and boyfriend ( played by Scott Patterson ) ends up being the one who dies during the last shootout in the movie, not the woman with her boyfriend trying to save her as well and the day. ( To use another cliche ) Traci Lords, is the badass, super cop in the movie who brings down the bad guys. A Los Angeles drug gang, that’s involved in other crimes like rape and murder.

Again, I’m not saying that Intent To Kill is a great movie. Some if not a lot of the writing especially for a 1990s film was pretty cheesy. Traci Lords, made a name for herself in the adult film industry not as a great dramatic or action star. But she’s great in this movie as a LAPD vice detective who is gorgeous, sexy, has the look more of an LA biker chick with the black leather biker jacket, Levi’s jeans, black leather boots, but who isn’t just a pleasure to check out, but who plays a very sharp cop as well who is always ahead of the game. Her first seen in the movie she takes out a rapist on her own, because the victim is a hooker who is simply not believable as a rape victim. Which was a very different time back then. And she ends up essentially playing the female Dirty Harry in this movie and does a great job. A very entailing movie especially if you enjoy seeing gorgeous, sexy women kicking ass.

Sometimes when I think of actress as well as very sharp comedian Jennifer Aniston, one of the best comedic actresses of her generation at least, I think of an adorable little girl. She was a baby face sweetheart when she got her big break with the NBC sitcom Friends back in 1994 and 24 years later she still is. Baby faces don’t age, they just preserve or get cuter and Jennifer is a perfect example of that. She’s more than a baby cutie and gorgeous as well, very funny, and a terrific actress, but one thing that might be quite as well known as J.A. is her sex appeal. She’s just not just a little cutie and hasn’t been just a little cutie for a while and perhaps ever, she also has great sex appeal.

The reason why skin-tight or skinny denim jeans are so popular with American women, but women outside of America as well, especially with beautiful, sexy women is because of beautiful, sexy, famous, popular women like Jennifer Aniston, Megyn Fox, Sofia Vergara, or Katherine Heigl, just to name a few examples love denim especially skin-tight denim and love boots as well and love wearing those two things together either when they’re acting and on their shows or movies or just out in public running errands, going out to each and just being out publicly. Skinny jeans and boots are popular in America and outside of America because they’re popular with female celebrities like Jennifer Anniston and many other women.

Jennifer Anniston, is a baby cutie who can still come off as a little girl or a kid even in her late 40s, but she’s also gorgeous and has a beautiful body as well and is also one of the top denim divas at least of this era. And people ( especially guys ) love seeing her in skin-tight jeans and from my perspective love seeing her in skin-tight jeans and boots. Denim jeans especially skin-tight denim jeans are meant for women with curve appeal, women with beautiful legs who are proud of their figures and don’t starve themselves or eat themselves into a oblivion. But women who are proud of their sex appeal to the point that they take care of themselves and want to take care of themselves. For their physical health of course, but also for their careers where sex appeal is very important in Hollywood. And Jennifer Aniston is still one of the top denim divas not just in Hollywood, but everywhere else in America.

“Broken Badges “Westside Stories” Episode 3, part 4.”

From CBS

If you believe never hearing of the CBS 1990 cop drama Broken Badges makes you special, you need to take a trip back to the drawing board especially if everything else about you is normal. You try to put a fan club together for a series that would barely qualify as a mini-series when we’re only talking about 10 episodes or so and you might fill up a phone booth, but leaving room for people to breathe and move inside of it.

26002
Source: BMPR– Eileen Davidson before she was a star, guess starring on Broken Badges. And perhaps thinking what she’s doing sitting next to a guy with a toy doll, but I’m not a mindreader.

Which is fine because unless you’re a big fan of Eileen Davidson ( from the great soap opera The Young and The Restless ) or big fans of Ernie Hudson or Miguel Ferer, Charlotte Lewis even, or CBS is not only your favorite network but has been your whole life and perhaps you’re the President of the CBS Fan Club and can name everything that great network has ever produced from the flops like Broken Badges to great shows like M*A*S*H and not just grew up with the network and it remained your favorite network as an adult as even a middle age adult, your’e probably not familiar with this show either.

I only got into Broken Badges myself when I started watching The Young and The Restless and Days of Our Lives several years ago when Eileen Davidson was working on both shows. And I was thinking I think I knew who she was before I started watching these shows, because I’ve seen her in a few other things and started looking into what she’s also done, because she’s great on both soaps and great to look at as well. ( And water is still wet )

76786

And started thinking about a certain b-movie that she did like in the late 1980s which of course was Easy Wheels where she plays a biker goddess who is the leader off a female biker gang. And then thinking didn’t she play a tough but sexy cop on a cop show from like the late 80s or early 90s when I was in high school. That is how I got into Broken Badges myself and watched every single episode of that short lived series last weekend in preparation for this piece. Broken Badges, obviously did flopped or it wouldn’t have started in late 1990 and barley made it to 1991, but there were some good things about it and it did have a good cast.

The whole premise of Broken Badges where you have the rebellious officers and detectives who had issues with rules and following them and are always in trouble with their superiors, that are lead by a detective sergeant ( played by Miguel Ferer ) who was fired by the New Orleans PD and then broth in by the Bay City ( fictional town and PD ) because he wouldn’t follow department rules, regulations, take orders, thinks he smarter than everyone else, pretty much explains why this show barley qualifies as a series. This show would’ve been suited if it was based on a private detective agency where the detectives are all ex-cops who are talented but fired by their department for breaking the rules, that are brought in by a guy starting his own new detective agency after he was fired from his department.

But a lot of pilots fail and perhaps most do, but that doesn’t mean they’re complete failures if they have good casts that were good on those pilots and become stars later on and the failed pilots that they were part of become like jumpstarts for their careers. Easy Wheels and Broken Badges, didn’t make Eileen Davidson, Ernie Hudson, Miguel Ferer, or Charlotte Lewis stars. Hudson and Ferer, were already somewhat known from shows and movies from earlier in their careers. Hudson, with Ghostbusters and Ferer with Robocop. And Broken Badges allowed for Eileen Davidson to be on network TV and be seen which lead to other and much better roles for her.

Just to talk about Officer Bullet ( played by Eileen Davidson ) she plays this very tough and yet sexy, gorgeous, very cute even. What would be called a vice detective where she goes undercover a lot and works with dangerous people that would kill her if they discovered she was a cop. And she’s doing this work with a look of a badass biker chick very similar to Easy Wheels which came out right before Broken Badges went on the air in 1990. She’s always wearing this sexy black leather biker jacket , blue Levi’s jeans, black western boots, and there are a few scenes where she’s wearing black leather chaps over her blue Levi’s denim jeans. And she’s kicking ass in the movie a lot but always kicking bad guys ass, because of course her character is addicted to danger as the background of her character says. Eileen Davidson, is all the reason I need to watch this show and it also has a lot good humor and funny scenes in it as well.

To be completely honest with you, Kim Cattrall is really the only reason why I watched Exception to The Rule and why I’m at best a casual fan of it. I am a big fan of Sean Young and believe she’s beautiful, sexy, very adorable, and at times at least very funny as well, but I don’t believe this is her best role and movie. Her part is important especially at the end where she ends up killing The Leather N Denim Assassin. ( As I call Kim Cattrall )

74369
Source: Leather Beauties– Hollywood Goddess Kim Cattrall

But this movie is really about how the Eric McCormack and Carla Rainer ( played by Kim ) interact with each other. He’s married to Angela ( played by Sean Young ) and has an affair with a perspective client or friend of McCormick’s boss ( played by William DeVane ) and uses that as blackmail leverage to get this young successful lawyer to pay him or. Or threatens to tell his father in law and boss ( played by William DeVane ) about their affair and he holds firm and refuses to pay her.

As you can imagine she doesn’t take that well and that is how the final scene of the movie develops where The Leather N Denim Assassin Carla Rainer ( played by Kim ) breaks in to this young couple’s home in an attempt to take Angela hostage in order to get her husband to pay ransom on her. There are good scenes before this moment like where Carla, gets rid of a man who she had a complicated history with by killing him and when he thinks she’s playing him off. A nasty murder where she literally runs him over and then blows up the car. She tried murdering Tim Bayer ( played by Eric McCormack ) by trying to run him down in broad daylight earlier in the movie. He attempts to pay her off and does so, which isn’t good enough for her which leads up to the last scene of the movie.

Source: Famous Fix– Hollywood Goddess Kim Cattrall

Kim Cattrall is really the only reason I’m interested in this movie. She’s this red-hot adorable redhead, with a beautiful body and even a quick sarcastic wit in the movie and in some cases in the movie even comes off as likable in is beyond her goddess like physical appearance. Sean Young has a good scene in the movie as well playing an adorable hostage who manages to break away from her would be captures. But Kim breaking into the home to take Angela hostage, in this beautiful black biker leather jacket, and black denim Levi’s, black boots. This scene happening at night and she sort of looks like a thief breaking into a jewelry store or bank at nigh and the confrontation that she has with Tim ( Angela’s husband ) is the really the only reasons for me to watch this movie.

From Kaya Sabir

1993, a big year for me, because it was the year I entered my senior year in high school. But it was a huge year for Janet Jackson, because her 1993 Janet album was a comeback album.

She was very busy from 1988-91 with her Rhythm Nation album, but took some time off and came back in a big way in the spring of 1993 with this album. To the point that she performed live at the 1993 MTV Video Music Awards. Which happened in August or September that year and I was vacationing with my family in Deep Creek, Maryland when this performance was give and saw it up there.

She’s a great performer, because she’s a singer, great dancer and great performer. I mean the woman is simply beautiful everywhere. Beautiful and yet baby-faced adorable with the voice to match. But then she also has a great body and style to highlight her athletic looking physique.

The early and mid 1990s was sort Janet’s what I would call at least sort of her LA gangsta style era. Lots of tight t-shirts, tank tops. studded belts and of course her skin-tight jeans and boots that have always been a big part of her act. She’s simply one of the most sexiest performers around today and has been for a long time.

“This is an interview with a girl from MELROSE PLACE… Thank GOD, Norm Macdonald cannot resist giving her the business.”

From Bruce Illest

Thank God for Norm MacDonald otherwise this interview would’ve been about Chairman of The Board. That so far I’ve been a hundred-percent successful in not seeing. I guess they could’ve talked about Melrose Place which was a great show, at least the last two seasons of it that I saw. But Courtney was on the show to talk about Chairman of The Bored, I mean Chairman of The Board.

I mean who would want to be Chairman of The Bored. You would constantly be chairing over people having trouble staying awake at your bored meetings, I mean board meetings. But that was why Norm was there so they wouldn’t have to spend 5-10 minutes talking about the movie and having to listen to people snoring in the audience. Which would’ve been distracting for the audience. And losing people to more interesting things like PBS fundraising drives. And high school plays on public access TV.

From Digital Spy

I’m going to be real honest here and take note of that, because it might be a while before you see me being honest again. And I go back to being a lying bastard till the Chicago Cubs win the World Series. I had never heard of Coyote Ugly until I saw this movie, well until I heard this movie was out some time I guess in the spring or summer of 2000. I didn’t know that Coyote Ugly was not only a real bar, but a national corporation with a chain or Coyote Ugly bars all around the country. Including Washington where I live around in Bethesda. Some times it takes a big movie like this for me to discover new things.

And then after the movie I see the show Wild On with Brooke Burke that was on E back in the day do a feature about Coyote about a year or so after the movie came out. TLC did a realty show about Coyote like in the spring of 2004 about a women who wants to become a Coyote dancer. And talent scouts I guess from Coyote show her the ropes. CMT launches a series in 2004, a contest really that gives tryouts for Coyote dancers and other employees with the winners getting jobs with the company. And that show lasts for about five seasons or so. And I still have several of those episodes on DVD.

This one movie completely got me into the world of Coyote Ugly. Not just because of the movie, but also because of all the shows about Coyote that came after. This post is not so much about the movie itself, which is a very good movie. But how one movie got a country interested in the Coyote Ugly bar and company. Their women, their dancers and everything that they are about and how they launch the careers of attracted sexy intelligent talented women. Who just need that one break to show the world what they can do.

Whatever Spanish that I know and I’m guessing it is somewhere around two-hundred words to the point I can somewhat casually converse in Spanish and joke around a little in it, but what Spanish I do know and I’m being completely honest here, I’ve learned accidentally. And what I mean about that is that I’ve picked up a lot of Spanish simply by watching TV. Similar to people who’ve immigrated to America and what English they know before they got here was picked up from American TV.

And I mention that because in the late 1990s and early 2000s I started getting into Spanish language TV in America. And I’ll be honest again here, really just for one reason. I’m flipping around one night and I see some Latin American soap opera on I believe Univision and it had these beautiful sexy women on it. So I started watching more and more soap operas on Univision and then later Telemundo and I start picking up some Spanish. And then later on I start working with Central American and Caribbean Latino immigrants and picked up some more Spanish from them.

What we call in America Western cowboy and cowgirl culture, is what you see in this video. But it takes place in I believe South America, perhaps Bolivia. And the acting is not very good to be honest with you, but these scenes and movies are pretty popular in Latin America, but with much better acting, programs and movies. Or at least I hope so, but it is always interesting to see cowgirls, sexy cowgirls especially taking on bad cowboys, meaning bad guys and coming out on top.
