“The Doors Five To One Scene From Movie HD.” Originally from Alex Owskignr, but has since been deleted or blocked on YouTube.

As I mentioned yesterday, The Doors is a very entertaining movie and in at least one sense is accurate as portraying Jim Morrison as a very wild and perhaps immature young man. Who fit in very perfectly in the 1960s generation and the time he grew up in and came of age. But the Miami concert scene is one of the few accurate scenes in the movie. The Lizard King did show up to the 1969 Miami concert, not high, but drunk and was a few hours late.

Morrison was noticeably off and did an awful job and even had a hard time standing up because he was so drunk from the plane ride and from the bar before the flight. Morrison did stop singing all together, got frustrated and started cussing at the audience. And they did boo him and security had a hell of a hard time trying to secure the arena because it was so hot, wild and overcrowded. Sort of like an American prison actually.

But the Miami scene and the New Haven scene might be the only two accurate scenes in the movie. If you are simply just looking for a good fictional movie about a rock and roll band, The Doors is probably a good movie for you. But if you are really interested in the life of Jim Morrison and perhaps the run that The Doors had, I suggest you go the documentary route that is just as entertaining about The Lizard King and The Doors band. But you’ll actually learn some things about them as well.

“The Doors movie trailer. Oliver Stone’s movie trailer.”

From Sophie T

The Oliver Stone 1991 The Doors movie was a very entertaining movie and worth watching and Val Kilmer did a very good job of playing an entertaining Jim Morrison (Aka the Lizard King)

But other than the Miami concert and perhaps the New Haven concert and maybe the New Haven jail scene and the Lizard King’s outfits, this wasn’t a very accurate movie. And this is according to Doors band member guitarist Robby Krieger.

First of all, Val Kilmer is around 6’1 and 200 pounds, he’s a big tall man. Where according to The Doors themselves, the real Lizard King was around 5’10 and slender. The Miami concert was crazy as it should’ve been with Morrison trying to perform drunk and getting frustrated and taking it out on the audience.

Jim Morrison trying to make it look like he pulled down his leather jeans (black or brown?) and exposed himself which according to the real Doors band, he never did, but wanted to make people believe he did.

And the New Haven scene was fairly accurate, with the Lizard King getting maced in a hall closet before the concert when he was fooling around with a girl, by a cop. And then going out on stage and doing a good job, but then slowing down and getting frustrated and telling the audience about what happened to him in the closet.

And the jail scene was accurate too, with Morrison getting stripped down. And the movie nailed the Lizard King’s outfit down, with over an hour of coverage with Val Kilmer wearing the Lizard King’s go to, skin-tight, lambskin black leather jeans, which Val Kilmer pulled off very well.

But the rest of the movie was an entertaining fiction novel with moving pictures. The Doors movie is very entertaining and if you’re looking for an entertaining fictional rock and roll movie, then I suggest you watch Oliver Stone’s The Doors. But if you want an accurate picture of Jim Morrison and The Doors, I suggest you look elsewhere.

“Music video by Gloria Estefan performing 1-2-3. (C) 1987 Sony BMG Music Entertainment”

From Gloria Estafan

This song is a good song in the sense that it has a good beat and rhythm to it. Very uptempo and a good enough band for it. But I believe the main reason why Gloria Estefan broke up with The Miami Sound Machine is because she was too big for them. She was a soon to be a superstar and her band was basically a local band that didn’t do much more with their careers after she left them.

I believe the only memorable moments from the 1-2-3 video is Gloria Estefan herself. She just looked and sounded incredible. She really is a beautiful, adorable, sexy woman when she looks good. And checking her out in that black leather jacket, the blue Levi’s, the black leather chaps, the black leather boots. She looked like this gorgeous sexy biker chick at a rock concert. And this video moves so fast with Gloria moving all over the place having a great time and moving with her band.

Gloria reminds me a lot of Alannah Myles in her Black Velvet video from 1989 where she’s wearing the black leather biker jacket with black leather chaps over black denims , with the black leather boots. And both Gloria and Alannah have great voices as well and just makes for a very entertaining music video.

The other memorable thing about this video is that it was shot at the Miami Arena in 1987 or 88 before Miami had either an NBA or NHL franchise. Just wish she did more videos like this and did them as a solo artist in the 1990s and now she’s not only be seen as a great singer, but very beautiful and sexy singer who has great talent, but also looks great. Similar to how Alicia Keys and Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Shakira and many other great female musical artists are seen today.

But there will always be 1-2-3 and this concert is also available on YouTube and you can buy it on DVD as well and be able watch her sing and move around all you want.

From Trailer Chan

I’ll be one of the first to admit that Fair Game is not a great movie, not even a very good movie. It’s a very entertaining movie with a lot of funny lines and some funny scenes. (Especially the edited version of the movie from TNT)

Take Cindy Crawford out of this movie and I sure as hell don’t have much reason to watch it. Actually I liked the Russian female terrorist. But probably not enough reason to watch a ninety-minute film by herself. Which is the Segway for what I really like about this movie.

Cindy Crawford, arguably the top supermodel of all-time and still one hell of a goddess today at 47 was my main motivation for seeing this movie 18 years ago and why I still see it again from time to time today. She’s one of the top goddess’ of all-time. About 5’9, 120 pounds or so, with gorgeous red hair and gorgeous eyes and a hot, baby-face. When she smiles back then and today you really get to see how adorable she is as well. She reminds me a lot of Raquel Welch and Eva Mendes reminds me of Cindy today as well as Raquel. Women who are hot, but almost can be little girl adorable.

And that is what you see in this scene from Fair Game, a gorgeous, sexy baby-faced woman, whose on the run from terrorists. Who needs access to a computer and she sees a computer geek who could help her and uses her goddess sex appeal to get from him exactly what she wants. Perhaps giving this poor schmuck the ride of his life, but a ride he’ll never forget. Giving him nothing to complain about from her since he’ll probably never forget her. A movie that’s not exactly a very clever movie, but does a good job at taking advantage of the tools around it. Like using sexuality to get what the sexy character wants.
